What Makes Advantage Unique?
Many warehouse management or locator systems are implemented as an extension of MRP/DRP business systems, often with limited support for warehousing operations. Spectrum Advantage, however, is designed specifically from an operations perspective and offers the functionality to significantly improve warehouse productivity and efficiency while eliminating shipping and inventory errors. Advantage creates a highly productive operating environment by incorporating Advanced Slot Management™ and Automated Material Handling Equipment integration with Warehouse Management functions.
• Carousel Integration and Control – Spectrum Advantage supports direct interfaces to horizontal carousels, vertical carousels, and Vertical Lift Modules. Each set of carousels is defined as a zone, and full operations can be performed – receiving / induction, picking, replenishment, cycle counting, and more.
• RF Directed Operations - While many systems view RF Directed operations as a means to capture transaction data from the shop floor, Advantage uses RF Directed operations devices to direct operations on the shop floor as well as capture transaction data. Using bar codes to validate locations and stock identifiers greatly improves accuracy, while eliminating common inventory errors like putting product in the wrong location, or picking the wrong product.
• Pick By Light Integration – Advantage supports a variety of Pick by Light manufacturers in one or multiples zones. Each zone of Pick by Light can be related to other carousel or off-carousel zones using Pick and Pass, Parallel Pick, or a combination of both.
• Advanced Slot Management™ - At the core of Advantage is Advanced Slot Management which tracks cube and velocity (picking frequency) attributes for every item and storage location in the warehouse. Advanced Slot Management, coupled with multiple location tracking optimizes space and reduces operator travel time.
• Warehouse Management - Warehouse Management provides the ability to control receiving, put-away, picking, replenishment, and other warehouse operations with a high degree of flexibility and accuracy. User productivity is captured and measured in real-time (as it happens) to assist management in handling daily operations, and identifying areas of operation where production is lagging, or to identify trouble spots before they happen.
